Youth Contact is a provider for DHS-initiated referrals to the ISRS program. This program provides intensive home-based services to families to increase resiliency and develop effective, positive parenting skills to prevent out-of-home child placement or to assist in reunification after removal from the home. Eligible families must be referred through DHS Self-Sufficiency workers in Washington County. If you are interested in this service, please contact us or ask your DHS Self-Sufficiency worker for more information.

We provide community-based skills groups for youth and their parents/guardians who are referred by the Washington County Juvenile Department. The purpose of skills groups is to divert youth from further delinquent behavior or involvement in the justice system.

Youth Contact provides consultants at each DHS Self-Sufficiency (TANF) office. Consultants work with participants identifying their personal goals and helping to build a plan for success with employment as well as their families’ well-being. Advocacy for achieving these plans plus collaboration with self-sufficiency staff enhances better understanding of challenges and solutions. If you are interested in this service, please contact your DHS Self-Sufficiency worker for more information.
